A premium eBook platform rebuilt from scratch with Flutter and Node.js
The Challenge
The client had an eBook app built using an AI-powered no-code platform. The app suffered from frequent crashes, slow loading times, and a dated user interface that did not reflect her brand. On top of the technical issues, she was locked into a monthly subscription just to keep the app running, with no ownership of the source code and limited control over updates or customizations.
The Solution
I rebuilt the entire application from scratch using Flutter, delivering a cross-platform app with a premium, elegant design tailored to her brand colors and identity. The app features a curated home screen with trending and popular books, rich category browsing, detailed book pages with reading progress, bookmarks, and a seamless subscription system. On the backend, I developed a full admin panel using Node.js and MongoDB, giving her complete control over her platform to manage books, categories, authors, users, subscription plans, orders, payments, and push notifications from a clean, intuitive dashboard.
The Result
The client received a fully owned, production-ready application with zero recurring platform costs. The app launched successfully on Google Play Store with a polished user experience that her readers love.
